I read this quote a while ago that always stuck with me “If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.” ― Lao Tzu. When we are truly present, we are able to connect more deeply with ourselves and others, and to experience the richness of life in a more profound way.

Why does it matter?

The only thing that exists is the present moment, so spend your time investing in what is in front of you vs worrying about past or future actions.
