Episode 17:

The Real Reason Why We Self-Sabotage

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Self-sabotage is a coping mechanism to avoid failure, rejection, or embarrassment.

  • It manifests in behaviors like procrastination, perfectionism, people-pleasing, starting arguments, and avoiding taking action.

  • These behaviors are rooted in our subconscious beliefs and fears.

  • Self-sabotage stems from our belief system about who we are, what we can or can't do, and our views on money, success, and worthiness.

    Examples of self-sabotage:

  • In careers: Procrastination, avoiding challenges due to fear of failure.

  • In relationships: Pushing people away, starting arguments, choosing unsuitable partners.

  • In health and fitness: Starting and stopping diets, skipping workouts due to beliefs about not maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

  • In finances: Overspending, not budgeting due to beliefs about not being good with money.

  • In personal growth: Avoiding self-improvement due to beliefs about the difficulty of change.

SOME WELLNESS SH*T

πŸ§–πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Glyphosate, commonly known as Round Up or weed killer, is frequently sprayed on crops. It is heavily used on crops like corn, soybeans, cotton, legumes, non-organic fruits and vegetables, wheat, oats, barley. It’s found in any processed foods made with these ingredients and meats/seafood based on the food they are fed. Despite being banned in many countries, it remains legal in the U.S.

Research has linked glyphosate to various health problems, including cancer (classified as a probable human carcinogen by the IARC in 2015), reproductive issues (disrupting hormonal activity and reducing sperm quality), liver and kidney damage (increased risk of chronic kidney disease), disruption of the gut microbiome (leading to autoimmune diseases, allergies, and metabolic disorders), and developmental and neurological effects.
